Ogliastra promotes the Rally di Sardegna in Mountain Bike 2009

The Ogliastra Province will host mountain bikers from Italy and overseas in a fantastic and thrilling race staged between the mountains and the sea.
The Rally starts from Jerzu, where the prologue will be held on June 7 at 18.00, and will pass through a total of 18 comunes (municipalities) among which Arzana, Barisardo, Baunei, Cardedu, Elini, Gairo, Girasole, Jerzu, Lanusi, Lotzorai, Osini, Talana, Tertenia, Tortoli, Triei, Ulassai, Urzulei, and Villagrande Strisaili.
The five stages "will be tough but at the same time very beautiful thanks to the area's natural and cultural heritage, which the communities of Ogliastra have preserved. They remain its jealous custodians, and offering it generously to all visitors, from the traditions of the popular celebrations (sagre) to modern high-volume musical events" - said Gian Domenico Nieddu the event's organiser.
